National Gallery of Singapore
National Gallery Singapore, renovated from Singapore's former High Court and Singapore's Government Building, will open in October 2015. It will be the world's first gallery to display and study the art of Southeast Asia from the 19th century to the present, giving Singapore a place in the field of international visual arts. After the completion, National Gallery Singapore has a total area of 60,000 square meters, of which 18,000 square meters is the exhibition hall, while the rest is provided for food, interaction, leisure and other public uses. National Gallery Singapore will set up two permanent galleries, the DBS Singapore exhibition hall and the Southeast Asia exhibition hall. The Singapore government attaches great importance to the construction of National Gallery. Of the 62 million Singapore dollars invested by the government in the past five years to help the gallery strengthen its collection, more than 21 million Singapore dollars have been injected into National Gallery.
